Glass Screen Protector Installation

Your Casely Glass installation kit includes a wet wipe, a dry cleaning cloth, a dust-removing sticker, and an alignment tray. Find your device below.

Standard iPhone

For flat-screen iPhone models.

Step 1: Clean your screen

Dust is the most common cause of a bad install. Do not skip this.

  1. Open the cleaning kit bag and take out the wet wipe, cleaning cloth, and dust-removing sticker.
  2. Using the wet wipe first, gently wipe your phone screen to remove any fingerprints, dust, or debris.
  3. Dry your screen using the dry cleaning cloth. Make sure all liquid is removed from your screen before proceeding.
  4. Use the dust-removing sticker to lift any remaining dust particles off your screen surface.

Step 2: Install the glass

  1. Place your device into the bottom tray. Make sure your camera aligns with the camera cutout on the tray.
  2. Gently remove the clear film from the tray top. Do not touch the glass once this film is removed.
  3. Before the next step, use the wipe and sticker again to remove any new dust that may have landed on your screen. Then place the top tray onto the bottom portion of the tray — check that you are placing the top on correctly, so the glass is not upside-down on your phone.
  4. Slide your finger down the top tray 2 times to adhere the glass to your device. Once you see the glass start to attach, wait 5 seconds, then remove the top tray.
  5. Some air bubbles might remain. Use the cleaning cloth or a credit card to gently push the air bubbles out to the sides of the glass.

iPhone Fold

The iPhone Fold protector installs differently — it uses an alignment fixture, and there are two screens to cover. Clean each screen using the steps above before you begin.

iPhone Fold — step by step

Your Fold kit contains two protectors — one for the inner folding screen and one for the outer cover screen — plus the alignment fixture and a squeegee card. Do one screen at a time, and clean each screen using the steps above right before you apply its protector.

  1. Seat the phone in the fixture. Place the folded phone into the fixture with the outer screen facing down. Align the camera with the camera cutout on the fixture and secure the phone firmly in place.
  2. Pull the tab strip and wait. Hold the phone securely and pull the tab strip. Wait 15 seconds for the glass to adhere to the screen on its own — do not press it down or rush it. Then unfold the phone and clean the inner screen.
  3. Align and attach the protector. The protector comes on a carrier sheet with cut-out positioning holes. Line those holes up with the fixture so the protector drops into place — this is what sets the alignment, so take your time here rather than eyeballing it. Handle the carrier by its edges and do not touch the adhesive side. Lower it onto the screen and gently smooth the film with the squeegee card.
  4. Work out the bubbles. Lift the left and right film sections one at a time — never both at once, or the loose glass can shift and lose your alignment. As you lift each side, slowly push the squeegee card from the center outward to peel away the liner and drive bubbles toward the edge.
  5. Finish the edges. Remove the surface protective film, then use the squeegee card to gently push out any remaining bubbles along the edges. Small bubbles near the crease often settle on their own within a day or two.
  6. Repeat for the outer screen. Fold the phone closed and take out the second protector. Clean the outer screen first — wet wipe, dry cloth, then the dust-removing sticker — and repeat steps 3 to 5: align it using the positioning holes, smooth it with the squeegee card, peel the liner from the center outward, then finish the edges. The fixture and tab strip are only used for the first screen.

Troubleshooting

Dust particles under your attached glass

Very gently remove the glass and wipe your screen, then remove any dust from the sticky side of the glass using the dust-removing sticker. Once clean, manually place the glass back onto your device and gently push down on the glass.

Air bubbles still visible after placing the glass

This usually means liquid was still present on your screen during installation. Gently remove the glass, wipe your screen, and remove all liquid and dust from the sticky side of the glass using the dust-removing sticker. Once clean, manually place the glass back onto your device and gently push down on the glass.
